I bought these for my boyfriend for his birthday-- he is a 10.5 normally, and the 11 fits well. He loves them, and has not had the problem other reviewers mentioned with the tongue slipping down. Thanks, Oliberte!
Nice construction and look. Unfortunately the size 13 is way smaller than other brands.
They are about my 12th pair of Oliberte's that I have bought. This pair was for my son who has a narrow foot. I have a EEE and the shoes with the rubber sides don't fit me.
When I saw these shoes in person for the first time (with no prior knowledge of the brand), I fell in love and ordered a pair as soon as I was able to. I completely love the concept and look of the shoe, but I have the same issue as another reviewer here. The tongue gets sucked in as I walk so it becomes very uncomfortable and annoying to wear these as I have to keep adjusting the tongue every 20 steps I take or it becomes painful. I thought it was a defect on my pair when I first wore them so I contacted customer service and they didn't even hesitate to send me a replacement (which I'm extremely grateful for) but when I walked in the second pair for the first time, I soon discovered that they had the same problem, both times with the left shoe. My brother also has a pair of these however, and he's never had that issue so it works for some people and for others it doesn't. I would give these another shot without a doubt if they were modified in a way that eliminated the problem because they're a beautiful piece of craftsmanship and creativity.
Wow. I was really amazed how comfortable these were from the moment I put them on. There isn't a ton of arch support, which is common for this style of shoe, but there is enough room to comfortably an additional arch support.
Just got a pair of these and they are fantastic.
Cool looking idea on this one, but the tounge keeps receding into the front of the shoe as I walk. The leather folds that are meant to act as eyelets for the laces don't really hold the laces well, making it difficult to adjust how tight or loose the fit should be. If they fix the tounge issue, maybe by making it larger and thicker, so that it doesn't recede into the shoe while walking, it would probably actually be a great shoe design, but as for now it is best to think of this as more of a shoe shaped object. The outsoles are a lovely touch, and the insoles are pretty comfy.
Most comfortable sneakers I've ever owned. I'm a 10.5 and ordered an 11 and they fit perfectly. Will definitely be buying more shoes from Oliberte.
