Great craftsmanship. When I first opened them- I could not get the right boot on. I persisted and they molded easily after a couple gritted-teeth-and-sweaty efforts (I felt very wicked-step-sister-ish....Slight variability in size from left to right. The more I wore them the more comfortable and broken in they felt (naturally). Most reviews said they ran large so I ordered a size down. Slightly short on the toes now, but anticipate that they will give a little with wear.
The best most comfortable boots I have ever owned. The shape of GE sole is flat soft and wearable all day. The leather is super good looking but also not stiff like other boots. Wish you would keep making them!!
Sizing recommendations in the past reviews were great. I am a 7 1/2 (tight fit, like dress shoes) to 8 (when I want room like in boots). I went with an 8 because I wanted a tight fit to wear with really thin socks, and people said they ran small. They are perfect! I do have narrow feet so the zipper thing that I read in other reviews did not bother me. They are super comfortable, look cool, and I get compliments on them. This is my 3rd purchase from Oliberte, and I will be back again I'm sure!
These are amazing. I bought them bc I decided I wanted more protection in the woods than sneakers, even in summer. So these, are going to become my more minimalist "summer boot." My feet feel safer already.
I had been admiring these for months. I finally ordered them and ordered my regular size. When they arrived I was happy with the quality and look. They are just like they disscribe on the website I was worried when I had trouble getting my foot in them. With persistance I wiggled my food in far enough to get my heal in. I wore then on a 15 minutes walk then the next day to work. They formed to my feet and they are like a pair of soft leather gloves. Love Em. Montana here I come!
I'd love to give 5 stars but I cant get them on my feet. They aren't "thick" enough at the arch/mid foot area, so I cant even get them on. My husband has a smaller arch/not thick foot and we have the same sized sole, and he can't even get them on. I'm hoping a trip to the cobbler will fix this problem. If the zipper went just a bit further, I don't think this would be an issue.
So far I like these boots and how they look and feel. It was definitely hard getting them on the first few times but I think the leather is starting to loosen a bit and it's getting easier to put them on.
Bought a size 8. Fits great! I'm usually a 8 US, or 8.5 US. (I also bought the TORIA in size 9, review on that item's page). The stabilizing material in the ankle/heel area (I'm not really sure what to call it) is a little tough to get my heel in the boot and is a little stiff while walking around. Maybe this will loosen after regular use. Around the toes isn't tight at all even with thick athletic socks. No arch support which I don't mind. And I love how it doesn't have a heel. It's rare that I see this and after buying the TORIA boot, I had to buy these too. :) Sad to see this company to go after all the good they've done in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Thank you for being the change in the world.
Comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. Goat lining wears like a sneaker.
in the last years I started being more aware of who I buy from, and I found Oliberte, a responsible company toward the environment, their workers, etc. Usually I wear 8.5, but since they do not do half sizes I ordered some boots size 9 and it fits well. They are super comfy, and they look beautiful with all my outfits.
